A bohemian type, I tend to favor all manner of items for my wardrobe. I like a little punk, a lot of goth, anything winged I can get my wallet to wrangle, and most things if they sparkle a little.
My clothes need to make me happy in some way whether they derive a chuckle because of strange morbidness or if they are billowy feminine fun. And comfort is queen.

swinging skirts for spring
About a month ago I got a job in construction, which is wildly different from anything I’ve ever done before. But it pays nice, I really enjoy my job, and those are both very important things. But seeing as how I have to wear jeans to work everyday I’ve found that on my days off I don’t want to wear pants at all. Or shoes. So I’ve gone full fledged to wearing skirts, dresses, and sandals. Much more feminine than my usual off day outfits. But I like it!
I don’t have very many casual dresses, three to be exact, so I’ve been browsing the web looking for some nice new ones to get after a few weeks. These are some of my favorites from ASOS:
- ASOS Skater Dress in Pretty Wallpaper Print
- ASOS Midi Summer Dress with Rope Print
- ASOS Sleeveless Skater Dress with Belt in Spot Print
- ASOS Body Conscious Dress in Rocco Print
- ASOS Pinafore Dress with Buckles
- Warehouse Scallop Dress
- ASOS Midi Dress with Full Skirt
- Warehouse One Shoulder Ruffle Dress
- River Island Zig Zag Textured Skater Dress
Apparently skater dress is a new thing… or else it’s a term I’ve never seen thrown around before. But THAT is my ideal daydress style. Today I’ve been wearing the Firenze Tank Dress by Pyramid Collection and it is so very comfortable. I need to get a picture but it’s dark outside and the living room is chaos so that will have to wait for another day.
Also, just read this lovely post by Mara of Tickled Pink about dyeing clothes… so tempting!

wrapped for early spring
I love pairing this gradient scarf with my flower clips as often as possible. I think the yellow pops really nicely. And since early spring tends to get a little nippy, I like wearing this scarf since I can use it as a headwrap as well. No midseason sniffles for me!

flowy blue and green
My mom bought this A&E shirt for me because their company happens to be as old as I am. Luckily for me, it’s actually a nice t with the slogan ‘Love Your Planet’ across it with a bonus tree design. Perfect for me. Paired with a longer sleeve underneath and my gradient scarf, it was perfect for a November day.

elven halloween
Tricked out in my favorite faerie jacket with the most amazing hood I’ve ever seen in my life (I need a picture of the back, then you’ll definitely agree) and a lovely diadem, I was an elf for Halloween 2011. The jacket was bought from Imp and Pixie and the diadem from the Olde English Faire in Peoria, IL earlier that year.
I love making Halloween oufits based on things around the house.

soft blues
These earrings. I love them. Especially paired with this shirt. Not so much with the necklace. Usually I’m a one or the other person, but I couldn’t decide that day. So, both!
Unfortunately the blue shirt got a terrible stain on the front and side so it is no longer in commission.

faery brown
I bought a number of adorable flower clips of etsy and was so so excited to wear them. Also visible is my grizzly jacket, a gift from the mother-in-law. And one of my many threadless shirts.
Why is this such a ridiculous shot? Well. I was at school and had my camera set up and then a bunch of people started coming out because of classes ending and rather than take a few different shots bold as hell, I just leaned in for a quick shot and scampered.
What? Faeries are shy.

nail polish rainbow
Colors! I love them. This is a shot of my nailpolish circa January 2011. Unfortunately, a number of them are no longer with us due to the interfering nature of small children.

celtic ring
I bought this ring to wear since Andy hates that I don’t ever wear my wedding ring. But I lose rings like crazy so I don’t want to wear a ring that special all the time. So enter the $20 ring from a celtic faire. The perfect supplement.
Bought in 2010, lost in 2011. May it rest in peace, wherever it is.

Heart pendant from Gearbunny
I love this pendant. So hilariously charming! Or creepy… depending on your preference. I bought it off etsy from Gearbunny.

rose earring
A friend of mine gave me this after I got my ears pierced. I’ve had them for ages and they are my favorites. It takes a great friend to know the perfect type of jewelry to give.
